Microsoft Defender marks links to duckdb.org as malicious

I included a link to the following page in a teams chat

https://duckdb.org/docs/stable/core_extensions/postgres

When you click on the link and it opens in edge it has the following security error

You might want to work with Microsoft to have these security warnings removed

@paulaustin-automutatio thanks for the report. I am unable to reproduce this with MS Teams on Windows. Does the issue still occur for you?

yes it is still causing that error in MS Teams for business when you click on the link and your organization has Microsoft defender enabled.

@paulaustin-automutatio I spent a few more hours investigating this issue but did not get much further ahead. I am unable to reproduce it with SmartScreen or Defender.

1. Does it still reproduce?
2. Does it reproduce with other links such as https://duckdb.org or https://duckdb.org/2025/07/04/ducklake-02?
