No update since 2023—Is mitt finished or dead?

Thinking of using this for a feature as it looks great, but see title. Of course if there's no work to do, apologies, but the TS/ESM/etc landscape has changed a lot in two years, I don't want to adopt a library that isn't going to be supported.

I have adopted Mitt for a fairly substantial project (application update using Mitt in beta now), and this is a small concern. Having said that, at no point* did I desire anything beyond the current API and Mitt has been great for my needs.

*Until today.

The addition of :

emitter.once('myEvent', (payload) => {});

would be nice, but can be worked around anyway with the current API.
