This is a quick fix for the broken citation link. I created the text by copying the Rmd output into a plain text file.
Thank you!Thank you for your pull request 😃 🤖 This automated message can help you check the rendered files in your submission for clarity. If you have any questions, please feel free to open an issue in {sandpaper}. If you have files that automatically render output (e.g. R Markdown), then you should check for the following:
Rendered Changes🔍 Inspect the changes: https://github.com/datacarpentry/R-ecology-lesson/compare/md-outputs..md-outputs-PR-927 The following changes were observed in the rendered markdown documents:
What does this mean?If you have source files that require output and figures to be generated (e.g. R Markdown), then it is important to make sure the generated figures and output are reproducible. I agree it's a net improvement compared to the current situation and I believe it should be merged now.
I have lost track of the timeline but my understanding is there will be an organization-wide push to harmonize author recognition practices across the Carpentries and to start using CITATION.cff
so we can defer outstanding questions until then.

This is a quick fix for the broken citation link created in the footer of the webpages. I created the text by copying the CITATION.Rmd output into a plain text file.
We may want to create an issue for better integration of the CITATION.Rmd and AUTHORS files, but for now this pull request should fix the 404 error page that comes up when people click the cite link in the footer.
Closes #855.
