Tooltip Colours

I have the tooltip function pretty much done, the only problem I am having is the colours and which way to do them in the KTL. I am thinking that users need to be able to set the colours in the set config area, but I am unsure how to do this with the KTL.
Will it need a default colour or do the users need to set the colours before they can use _ttip? The default may prove difficult as user's setup will vary so much, and the icon will need to be subtle.
I've tried to use your getSysColors but the difference in set up between details, forms and, tables means that I can't get one colour to work for all three.
I have looked at the ways you allow users to change the colors and I was thinking that something like the quickToggle colors would work?

Any ideas on this would be great thanks.
