Is there a way to set basepath for the springboot admin considering that this is being integrated in an existing application which acts as a gateway?

Yes you can set a basepath by using spring.boot.admin.context-path in your application properties
Also make sure your gateway forwards requests correctly to this context path
Use server.servlet.context-path if you need to shift the entire app under a base route
