Consider guaranteeing arrangement of rows fed to slide computations

Sometimes, we can perform computations more easily or quickly if we know that the data are already arranged (sorted) and how. But at least ?epix_slide does not guarantee any such arrangement (though it likely provides some form). We should consider guaranteeing an arrangement in ?epix_slide and ?epi_slide and implementing such a guarantee if we don't already.
