Please update to v1.11.32 (soon)!

Hi everyone. We have released versions 1.11.30 and (very shortly after that) 1.11.32.

1.11.30 included a series of patches to reported vulnerabilities that have (since the release) been added to our security page. This means some crackers will probably try to use those vulnerabilities on portals that are not updated to 1.11.32.

Upgrading from 1.11.10 or any later version to 1.11.32 is very easy:

1. Download 1.11.32 from the https ://chamilo.org/download page (choose the packaging you want, it's the same on the end)
2. Unzip or untar the package on your server
3. Connect to your chamilo install as admin and go to the "Clean cache" page in the "System" block on the administration page
4. Copy the files from the Chamilo 1.11.32 package on top of your previous installation of chamilo
5. Click on the "Clear cache" button in the Chamilo administration page
6. Update the "software_version" number in your app/config/configuration.php file on your server

Done!

Chamilo 1.11.32 is a micro corrective release on top of 1.11.30. For any significant change, please check the 1.11.30 release notes

• la red social no organiza los mensajes, lo tenemos del más reciente al más antiguo, y la navegación entre los post dejó de funcionar...sin hacer ningún cambio, solo la actualización. a ver si nos comentan como corregirlo.

• en la admin aparece un nuevo link, que es "edición avanzada de usuarios". muy útil.

• 2 nuevos plugins, monitorear los ejercicios (exámenes o cuestionarios) para evitar que hagan trampa los estudiantes. Enfoque en los ejercicios, por si el estudiante se sale del exámen, entre de nuevo en corto tiempo. este puede ser útil para los que discuten que "los echó fuera el sistema".

• se corrigió el problema de ver las tareas en la pantalla inicial, para ver la tareas pendientes de revisar por el profesor.

• ¿que me gustaría ver?
  a).- la posibilidad de crear menún en forma de despliegue, para facilitar la navegación, por ejemplo, poner un link que diga: "OFICINA" y dentro de este se pongan menus de acceso a documentos, al wiki o a los anuncios, para que sean visibles o usados como una area administrativa de tipo "ventanilla" para los estudiantes y profesores, esto hace que no estén bucando el icono en la navegación por clusters y le da más rapidez.
  b).- un buscador de temas o tópicos dentro de los grupos de red social, algunos tienen hasta 200 discusiones y cuesta trabajo encontrar el que se intenta administrar, cambiar, borrar o comentar.

felicitaciones por el trabajo de desarrollo, los estudiantes agradecen la facilidad de uso, la forma en que pueden ver sus avances, lecciones por hacer, tareas por entregar o examenes a realizar.

Cambiaron su versión de PHP al actualizar a la 1.11.32, o se quedaron con PHP 7.4?
En mi instalación veo que el navegador entre páginas de la lista de mensajes de la red social ya no funciona, pero el orden por fecha sí cambia cuando doy clic a la columna de fechas, y el pasar de un mensaje al siguiente también me funciona.

El problema de paginación está corregido con este parche sencillo, que estará en 1.11.34

What errors do you have in your PHP error logs? The database issues error message is about connecting to the database, not about an error in a query or anything from Chamilo's code, so I would say it's unrelated to your Chamilo update.

This error appears when the MySQL or MariaDB database server has stopped. Check that it is up and running.

@ywarnier @chatonito I have just reinstall to the newer version and created all courses from scratch again. I had first PHP v8 now back to v7...

Are you sure about your PHP version?
1.11 is set for 7.x version. I suppose your are set with 8.

Dice mayor o igual a PHP 7.4 y hasta el momento en mi revisión funciona perfectamente con PHP 8.3

It says greater than or equal to PHP 7.4, and so far in my review, it works perfectly with PHP 8.3.

Sometimes it does work, sometimes not using PHP 8.
For sure 1.11 is designed to work with PHP 7.4. My verision is 7.4.33 and it 100% works.
If it works with 8., then fair enough, but, if it doesn't, it's worth trying 7.4.33.

Following fresh reports, 1.11.32 works generally well with PHP 8.3 but there are issues with CSV files management. If you don't use CSV, you should be fine.

The error is related specifically to user import in CSV and XLSX import of tests/exercises.
For user import:

PHP Fatal error: Cannot make non static method League\\Csv\\Modifier\\StreamFilter::validateString() static in class League\\Csv\\AbstractCsv in /var/www/chamilo/vendor/league/csv/src/AbstractCsv.php on line 169 (in main/admin/user_import.php)

There's also an issue with HTML characters encoding, so we will publish a version 1.11.34 soon to correct that, and recommend not to use PHP 8.3.
It's a bit tricky because we cannot fix the CSV issue without diving into huge chained dependency issues, and we're not ready to do that when we have Chamilo 2.0 about to be released in a few months. Chamilo 2.0 will support PHP 8.2 and 8.3 (not yet tested on 8.4).
