Unable to login to Windows PC Bitwarden App when using "Log in with device" login, via secondary device/fingerprint phrase/face id #16379

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Go to any website that you'll need to access your bitwarden account to get your username and password from the bitwarden app, in Windows. Below is the OS information I use:
    Edition: Windows 11 Home
    Version: 24H2
    Installed on: ‎8/‎10/‎2025
    OS build: 26100.4946
Experience: Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.197.0
  2. Open the Windows app version of Bitwarden.
  3. Enter in your email address in the sign in field for email address, and verify that the box for "Remember Email" is checked.
  4. Click on the "Continue" button,
  5. Click on the "Log in with device" button,
  6. Then using the device you're going to use to login with, verify that the fingerprint phrase matches and tap the "Approve Login" button, and wait for the device to say "Login Approved"
  7. Then wait for the Windows app to login..........
  8. Except this is where the problem is for me. Instead of logging me into the Bitwarden Windows app on my desktop PC, which is where I want to login, it just sits there doing nothing at ALL. I'm assuming it's supposed to log me in on the PC and then I can go about my business as usual, however, no matter what or how much time passes it just sits there.
  9. After approving it on the secondary device, and waiting an indeterminate amount of time you can then click on the "View" tab at the top of the Bitwarden Windows PC App, and click on to "Reload" OR press CTRL + SHIFT + R, to reload the page. You will get an error that says "User Email Missing" in the upper right hand corner that will disappear in less than 10 seconds.

Expected Result

As soon as I approve the Login via my "other device", which in this case is my Apple iPhone 14 with the Bitwarden app installed on it as well. And I use it with Face ID to log me in so that it doesn't take long to open the app. I would have thought that when one uses the Windows PC Bitwarden App and clicks on "login using device" and then I have to verify and approve the login via my iPhone and fingerprint phrase, that one has confirmed that the user is in fact a verified and authorized user especially when one uses Face ID to and fingerprint phrase to login. But when one does these things and the Windows PC App doesn't log me in, then I must admit that there is a "bug" somewhere not doing what it's supposed to be doing.

Actual Result

What actually happens is the Windows PC app gives and asks the user to verify the fingerprint phrase with the one on the device, in my case the iPhone Bitwarden App, and if they match approve the login. If the they don't match or you don't want to allow the login you just have to press the deny login button instead. Then even after waiting hours for it to do something, I simply clicked on view and reload and that's when I got the "User email missing" error in red, in the top right hand corner of the webpage.
