BadMethodCallException:
Method Illuminate\Database\Eloquent\Collection::render does not exist.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to Admin
2. Login
3. Scroll down to 'Catalog...'
4. Click on attribute
5. See Error

Before I dig into this, was this issue ever resolved?

No. Haven't touch the project for a long long time.

Not sure how you replicate the issue.
I had tried with fresh installation it works.

After I try adding a new attribute it works.
