Optional 🚀self-hosted🚀 alternative: GitHub Actions deployment with full compatibility #4747

Description

@soulteary

First of all, huge thanks to @anuraghazra and all contributors for maintaining github-readme-stats. It’s an awesome project and has helped tons of developers showcase their GitHub metrics.

I’d like to share an optional alternative for people who prefer self-hosting (not a replacement for the original project, just an additional deployment path):
https://github.com/soulteary/github-readme-stats

Goals / highlights:

  • ✅ Full compatibility with the upstream project: supports all parameters and usage patterns
  • ✅ Easier self-hosting: can be deployed via GitHub Actions quickly, without running a separate server/container/reverse-proxy
  • ✅ Useful for stability/control: avoids public instance rate limits and keeps rendering under your own repo/org

If you’re hitting rate limits on public instances, want more control, or don’t want to maintain extra infra, feel free to give it a try.

Thanks again to the upstream author and the community. If posting this here is not appropriate or needs rewording, I’m happy to adjust or close the issue to avoid any maintenance burden.
