Notification and reminder email text in UI+database

At the moment, the email text must be edited in files and can be overwritten upon updating the application.

For a broader userbase, it would be useful if the email text (including placeholders/mergetags) is stored in the db and can be edited in the Settings UI (admin).

We might be adding a custom message as a setting in the future indeed, but not a template editor for mails as those can be easily modified in the codebase.

That makes sense. I guess the email text / custom message will need to have provision for a few placeholders/mergetags, though.

I think it will automatically make internationalisation of email messages simpler too as everyone could set up their own messages in their own languages.

Hello!

The common messages included in emails can already be translated by modifying the language files.

If you check the /application/views/emails/* templates, you will see that certain key strings are being used.

Those keys can be found in the translation files and changed in there.
