Extending keyboard bindings for 'Backspace' key in Tree component

I am excited by the release of the new Tree component!

Is there a way to extend keyboard bindings on React Aria components - specifically the Tree and TreeItem? I am looking to add behavior when the 'Backspace' key is pressed on a focused TreeItem to initiate removing the item (asking for delete confirmation).

Would I have to opt for a custom component that uses and merges props with React Stately hooks?
