confusion with discount pricing #8

This is a simple product with a Special discount.

DPU on:
I spent some time looking over this and gave up as I think there are more issues to correct, for example the var origPrice is taken from the innerhtml of the discount price not the original price and phpstorm complains about some undefined stuff...
