Xray-core reliability in restrictive / high-filtering network environments

Hello,

I am evaluating Xray-core for a VPN deployment and would like to understand its behavior in restrictive network environments.

In my case, the network conditions include:

• Heavy ISP-level filtering (DPI-based inspection and blocking)
• Unstable connectivity with frequent packet loss or resets
• Possible intermittent blocking of common transport patterns (WebSocket/TLS)

I would like to know:

1. Is Xray-core generally stable in such environments?
2. Are there recommended transport configurations for higher reliability (e.g., WS, gRPC, TCP + TLS)?
3. Are there known limitations when operating under aggressive filtering or throttling conditions?
4. Any practical deployment advice from real-world usage in similar environments?

I am not asking for bypass methods, only for architectural suitability and stability considerations.
