Why are the prompts locked so you can't change them?

Negative prompts are locked only for models which doesn't support them (mostly image models). The usual placeholder for these inputs should appears highlighted, but in fact it's not used at all. "Positive" prompts should always be usable.

Can you give an example of a module where the prompts are locked, so I can confirm if it's the expected behavior ?

are you trying to edit default prompts or custom ones? if it's defaults, they might be locked for consistency across models. if it's custom ones, you should be able to change them. let me know what's up!
