How to pass through JWT claims from the authentication layer to the Socket.IO layer.

I just write a AsyncRequireAuthorizationLayer, I decode jwt token in it, then insert jwt claims to request.extensions_mut().

I try to get claims from socket.extensions, but failed.

Please let me know if I missed anything.

Use HttpExtension and not Extension. An extension is bound to the lifetime of the socket and it is not the same that the one you are inserting in your http request.

Sure, an extractor is something you can specify as a handler parameter:

async fn my_ns_handler(HttpExtension(my_ext): HttpExtension<MyExtension>, socket: SocketRef) {}
io.ns("/", my_ns_handler);

If you don't want to use the HttpExtension extractor you can simply use SocketRef::req_parts to get the HTTP extensions.
