I don't agree. Fetch remote doesn't give you hint about opening or the protocol used (http).

I have just confirmed that the feature doesn't work with image files.

Maybe I could add support for that, it shouldn't be hard.

But the more concerning problem for me is that I discovered it puts the temporary files in C:\WINDOWS\TEMP!

Why is that concerning?

Why don't you use %localappdata%\temp?

It uses C:\WINDOWS\TEMP when it fails to retrieve with GetTempPathA, maybe there's something wrong or it needs to use GetTempPathW in your particular case.

I don't know. My local account name is all ASCII. There are no Unicode characters. And I'm on Windows 11.

Yeah, I just checked the implementation, it's a bug in eepp, it was always falling back to that forced temp directory by accident, will be fixed in my next commit.
