Came in this morning, and the grid on SOC was saying the server needed to be re-started. After a restart, and waiting about an hour, I tried to run so-status and got:
[root@secsrv /]# so-status
⌛ System appears to be starting. No highstate has completed since the system was restarted.
The tried to do a so-start all and got:
[INFO ] Loading fresh modules for state activity

Pillar failed to render with the following messages:

Tried to do another restart but it was the same. Also tried to restore a backup, and no different. Any one have thoughts?

Did you lose power or connection during an update recently?

What do you see if you run ls /opt/so/saltstack/default/salt? Is there a backup top.sls? Can you run the cat command of the top.sls file and send the output?

Not that I am aware of. I did check that file the other day and it looked fine. I just finished a re-run of so-setup-network and everything is fine now. I will see what happens next time.
