DelegateCommand and IActiveAware

I notice that DelegateCommandBase (and its derivatives) support IActiveAware however in my experience (and subsequently looking at the code) shows that IsActive is never set.

Am I misunderstanding the meaning/usage of this property as I was expecting it to be set true when the command is executing and return to false once the command has completed?
