Implementing Behaviors (ViewModel to View interaction)

I am upgrading Prism from Prism 5 to latest version. In the latest version, i am not finding behavior concept which uses Interaction Request. My application has lot of usage of behaviors.

I have gone through implementation of Dialogs in latest prism but i cannot use Dialogs in my application as they are not dialogs and are usecontrols.
Please let know how to implement or for any alternate options.
