Hello. When i try to install PSResourceGet, it tells an error. I have a screenshot to prove it.

Steps to reproduce

I am experiencing an issue with Powershell 5 aka Windows Powershell, i want to install PSResourceGet, but i get an error.. I'm not really sure if it should be happening...

Expected behavior

I don't know.

From the error message it seems like you are using PowerShellGet v3.0.23-beta23 (there is no stable version of this release):

This is a shim for PSResourceGet. More reading:

Having said that, that project looks kind of abandoned, or at least not highly prioritized, and there haven't been a stable v3 release yet.

I suggest you do one of the following things:

• Use PowerShell v7.5, it has PSResourceGet included.
• Use the last stable release of PowerShellGet, v2.2.5: https://www.powershellgallery.com/packages/PowerShellGet/2.2.5
• Use PackageManagement (included in Windows PowerShell), for instance like so:

  PackageManagement\Install-Package -Source 'PSGallery' -Scope 'CurrentUser' -Name 'Microsoft.PowerShell.PSResourceGet'

• Download .nupkg manually from PowerShell Gallery ( https://www.powershellgallery.com/packages/Microsoft.PowerShell.PSResourceGet ), extract it like a ZIP file to %USERPROFILE%\Documents\WindowsPowerShell\Modules\Microsoft.PowerShell.PSResourceGet\<version>\<content_of_.nupkg>.
