Bug: Inconsistent Image Sizes in “Who’s Involved” Section Across Projects (Mobile View)

Hello OSGeo Team,
I hope you are doing well.

I would like to bring to your kind notice a frontend issue I found on the OSGeo website(https://www.osgeo.org/). In the “Who’s Involved” sections across multiple project pages, the contributor images are not uniform in the mobile view. The images vary in size and height, resulting in an uneven and inconsistent layout when viewed on mobile devices.

Since I am not part of the organization and cannot directly contribute fixes, I am reporting this issue so it may help the maintainers address the mobile responsiveness problem.

Issue Summary:

• Contributor images have inconsistent sizes in mobile view only.
• Layout becomes misaligned across all project pages that include a “Who’s involved” section.

Hi, thanks for reporting this issue.

I also checked the “Who’s Involved” section on multiple OSGeo project pages in mobile view,
and I can see that the contributor images are not the same size. Some appear taller or wider,
making the layout uneven.

Screenshot attached — was this section maintained in the images you mentioned?

I’m new to open source and exploring OSGeo as a potential GSoC organization.

I cloned the OSGeo repo, but it seems the frontend for the website is not included here. Could you please guide me to the correct repository where the “Who’s Involved” section templates and CSS/SCSS are located? I’d like to apply the mobile image size fix directly in the theme code.

I’ve started the OSGeo UserID process and have emailed the SAC team to obtain the mantra required for access. Once access to the www_osgeo repository is granted, I’ll proceed with investigating and fixing the mobile image size issue in the “Who’s Involved” section.

I’ve submitted an OSGeo Trac ticket requesting access to the osgeo/www_osgeo repository to work on this issue. Once access is granted, I’ll proceed with implementing the mobile image size fix and share updates here.
