Can the commit depth be chosen when cloning?

I need to utilise git clone --depth 1 ¹ on most repositories, due to my internet speed.

Nope, there is currently no such functionality available (no code in Gittyup sets depth in any git_fetch_options object). This would be a new feature to be added, which presumably wouldn't be much work other than familiarising yourself with the source code. I would assume essentially copying what's done for the bare option would work here.
