Description
Describe the Bug
Issue with Extended Monitors (one with notebook HDMI, another with hub)
I currently use two monitors set to extended display mode. However, I’m experiencing an issue:
Whenever I launch a game or perform actions like restarting the computer, the monitor configuration resets.
After these actions, the monitors switch from extended mode to duplicate mode, showing the same image on both screens. In some cases, the system also loses the correct position and order of the monitors, so it no longer recognizes which one is the primary monitor and which is the secondary.
I would like to know how to fix this issue and keep the extended display configuration permanent, even after restarting or running games in full-screen mode.
How can this issue be reproduced?
I’m having a recurring issue with my dual monitor setup. Every time I open a game and switch back to the desktop using ALT + TAB, or even after turning the computer off and back on, the monitors lose their correct positioning.
Whenever this happens, I have to manually go into the Display Settings to reposition the screens and set the correct refresh rate again. It’s frustrating because these settings should stay saved, but they seem to reset every time.
I’d really like to understand why this happens and, most importantly, how I can make these configurations stick, so I don’t have to adjust them over and over again.
Expected behavior?
I hope the configuration is saved to avoid having to reposition the monitor layout and configure the refresh rate when exiting a game or after turning the PC back on. Thanks 😊🚀
