NDS recognition for Download Play Demos/Items

There is a very specific subset of games that had items distributed via Download Play demos by writing to the physical cart.

I think it would be very cool if while there is no cartridge inserted in the system, it would recognize the most recent booted rom as the cart for the purpose of said demo item.
