How can I get Cardinal to show as a MIDI device in openDAW to use Host Time module ? #909

I am trying the Host Time module in Cardinal standalone (one of the demos) and trying to get openDAW transport controls to work with it. openDAW should send transport messages and sync I would think to the Host Time module, yes? |

Cardinal doesnt receive transport info through MIDI, but through a host, which will be missing from the standalone version so there is no way to control transport there (JACK is an exception, but on Windows I don't think you would be using that). Cardinal is not a MIDI device, it is an audio plugin. |

So on Windows 11, I probably really need to use Reaper, Ableton, or any DAW that could run Cardinal as a VST3 plugin or is CLAP or LV2 reasonable in 2026 now on Windows 11 DAW's? |
