V51 update patching guide
IMPORTANT: Every time after installing mods you have to install an experimental custom-types build that you can get from here
If you can't install beatsaber and it disappeared from your library after the update, you need to use adb to uninstall the game and reinstall it from the oculus store. Google how to use adb if you don't know how to use it. Here's the command to uninstall the game:
adb uninstall com.beatgames.beatsaber
- latest QuestAppVersionSwitcher installed
- official beat saber installed (1.28 was tested for the guide)
- experimental custom types mod build
- Open the QuestAppVersionSwitcher and select the game you want to patch (Beat Saber)
- Select the game you want to patch (Beat Saber if you forgot lmao)
- Click on "Mod my game" on the sidebar to open the modding page, and press "Patch it now".
- Wait for the game to get patched (if it hangs for more than 5 minutes, rerun the app, it breaks sometimes)
- Follow the steps in the popup to install patched beatsaber
- Make sure Beat Saber has permissions to access all files by going to "Tools and options" and click these two buttons, allow everything and go back to the app. Second button opens "All files access" permission settings for the game, allow it and press back. If it's greyed out it means that you haven't installed patched beat saber, start over lmao.
- Your Beat Saber is succesfully patched!
