Description:

I'm requesting the addition of the 'imBack' feature to the Webex adapter. The 'imBack' feature, available in platforms like Microsoft Teams, allows users to send a message as if it were typed by them, enabling interactive conversations and actions directly within the chat interface.

Requested Enhancement:
Introduce the 'imBack' feature to the Webex adapter, allowing users to engage with chatbots, applications, and interactive messages more seamlessly. This feature would enhance user experience, enable richer interactions within the chat interface, and align Webex capabilities with industry standards. Instead of relying on the 'imBack' feature, you can consider using buttons or quick replies within your chat interface. These can provide predefined options for users to select, which can trigger specific actions or responses without requiring free-text input

Use Case:

  • Users can interact with chatbots and applications by sending messages as if they were typed by them, facilitating smoother conversations and actions.
  • Developers can create more interactive and engaging chat experiences by leveraging the 'imBack' feature to enable direct user input and feedback within Adaptive Cards and other message types.

Benefits:

  • Improved user engagement and interaction within Webex chat interfaces.
  • Enhanced versatility and usability of Webex chatbots, applications, and interactive messages.

Additional Context:
The addition of the 'imBack' feature to Webex would bring its capabilities closer to parity with other leading collaboration platforms, empowering developers to create more dynamic and engaging chat experiences across different channels.
