expected empty table if no mbed connected

if invoking mbedls -u i would expect to see an empty table (header only)
if no mbed is connected.
Instead i see an ERROR.

ERROR:mbedls.lstools_linux:Could not get serial devices by id. This could be because your Linux distribution does not use udev, or does not create /dev/serial/by-id symlinks. Please submit an issue to github.com/armmbed/mbed-ls.

What is also inconsistent is, that mbedls returns with error code 0.

I use version 1.7.10 on suse linux.
