pyradiomics (3.1.0) not supporting PEP 517 builds - poetry

Describe the bug
Pyradiomics does not support PEP 517 builds and can't be installed using poetry.

To Reproduce
poetry add pyradiomics

Expected behavior
Install Pyradiomics and dependencies successfully.

Version (please complete the following information):

• OS: Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS
• Python version: 3.12
• PyRadiomics version 3.1.0

Additional context

To fix this bug I installed an anterior version of python (3.9) and forced poetry to use it.
It worked :)

Yes, that was what i ended up doing. It seems to work with python 3.9.10.
I also started using uv for dependency management but the issue still exists for python versions >3.9.10.
A solution that worked with Python 3.12 was doing: uv pip install git+https://github.com/Radiomics/pyradiomics.git. Pulling the latest version directly from GitHub seems to fix the packaging issue in PyPI (as @hjmjohnson suggested).
